If you like Mexican food. Get one.

I never buy corn tortillas or worry if I have fresh ones. Handmade corn tortillas are so much better in taste and health over factory made

Good deal for those who prefer small tortillas. It's a shame the 10" version of this never goes on sale.

I have one. Got it on sale for $17. Waited a while to get that price. This is a deal. However the hinge is a simple cotter pin which is relatively weak although easily replaced.

Tried it regular bread dough. Not a chance. Tried it with a high hydration bread dough (about 60% water) Pressed it so thin the dough couldn't hold together. Stick to the description unless you enjoy tinkering.

The batter for those are poured (like a pancake). This device wouldn't make sense for that.

In for 1. I make tacos often using both four and corn tortillas. I've been using all sorts of "other" things in my kitchen to shape the tortillas when I do it from scratch but it's never perfect and it's a pain in the ... apron. At this price, Made in Columbia and made of cast iron, should be more than enough! Great deal (I think)!

I think using some parchment paper is key to making these perfectly! Even when using the right dough "formulas". That's what I've done in the past!

easier just to use a meat mallet to get the right texture

I actually tried to make it on the griddle with the recipe, which makes dough balls to stuff with choice of paste, and squish with a dough press or small plate. Maybe this would make it easier. Thanks for the input!

I think some people may be misunderstanding what this is and how to use it.

You don't cook with it, you use it to form the tortilla.

This quick video may help.
