VIPOUTLET seller is a SCAM. Stop post the deal from them. Last week, they're selling tablet for $28. I ordered one and they never ship the order, NOT REFUND my money yet. Right now, I'm asking Ebay to get my money back from them. THIS VIPOUTLET IS A FRAUD. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.

THIS IS DEAL SCAM FROM THEM RIGHT HERE:

Don't buy wyze products unless you are in to paywalls and subscriptions. They lock smart detections behind their cloud services even though cameras like this one have smart detection capabilities on device.

I have three of these cameras specifically... Without a subscription, they will let you automate the light via person, pet or vehicle, only because there is no PIR sensor. When it comes to Smart motion detection on this camera, they will only let you use person and vehicle detection, everything else is paywalled.

Further, I would strongly advise anyone using wyze cameras without a subscription to disable all motion detection and just use continuous recording. I determined a while back that even if you don't have a subscription, if you do have motion-based recording enabled on any of their cameras, all those video clips are still being uploaded to their cloud... You can't access them and who knows what they're doing with them.

vipoutlet is not reputable in my experience. They sold me a portable buddy heater that was advertised new in open box, and the product was most definitely used and never replied to me about that or offered me anything.

I have about 15 wyze cams and no subscriptions. Many are the 1st Gen that came out years ago. You can easily use most features without paying for a subscription. Once you learn how to change the settings appropriately, which they explain in the directions, they work very well.

I bought a doorbell cam from a prior VIP Outlet deal - never again. It was dirty and had scratches all over it. I sent them multiple messages and it took weeks for a reply.

I didn't say you couldn't use them without a subscription. I said most of the features are paywalled. And even without a subscription, they are collecting your motion based video clips. I also had to block additional data analytics services that I found their cameras communicating with even though I had "opted out" of data sharing in the app. You can keep down voting me but I'm just trying to educate people. They try to make their subscriptions seem like a really great deal but mostly what you are doing is unlocking features the camera can do on its own without a cloud service. This is gatekeeping/paywalling 101. These cameras rely way too much on cloud services and they do that on purpose so they can steer unknowing customers into their subscriptions. There is literally no reason in 2026 to buy cameras from a company like this and limit yourself to not being able to use the hardware's full capability. There are plenty of other brands that actually allow you to use the built-in smart features of their cameras... without paywalls.

Most features are absolutely not paywalled. The only feature paywalled are the "smart" identifications. As for the cloud comms, this is exactly the same for basically all internet connected devices. Set your router up to have an IoT channel and then you don't have to worry
