I got this on the last sale. The quality is actually very nice. The nozzle is a little large in diameter for my liking, but still lights a charcoal grill fine. Be careful with that max power button, lol. There's a knob on top you control the gas flow with, then you click a button to ignite it. Seeing how I had the gas flow controlled with the knob, what could a max temp feature do...? Man, that nozzle turned into an afterburner, shooting out several feet. I don't know where it gets the extra intensity from, since the knob you turn controls the gas. But it goes from torch to afterburner by pulling that trigger. Melted a hole in my screen door because I had it aimed off to my side, never expecting the heat to shoot straight out 4 feet or so. It was just enough to melt a palm side hole before I let go of the button. So yeah, this thing is cool, but be careful with that button.

Oh, the feature where it turns red when hot is misleading I think. I think they just mean the metal tip turns red naturally, not some special feature. It hasn't gotten red while lighting my grill.

Got one from last sale, start on minimum level, it is super strong lol. Haven't used it on anything yet (just tested it out when it was snowing), but it looks solid! I paired mine with the Flame king propane refill kit.

They probably used/purchased a defective one. I got one from a white elephant Christmas party. People were fighting over it. This product is amazing to have around and is a must-have if you barbecue or camp often IMO

This propane torch stands out for fast, wide, high heat that makes charcoal, wood stoves, fireplaces, leaf piles, and weed burning easier. It also gets praise for broader tasks like heating a chimney, scorching steaks, and finishing sous vide, with the booster mode adding extra punch. The main cautions are its very large flame, awkward one handed handling, and a safety button that can blast unexpectedly if the dial is high. The hot color indicator appears to be limited to small printed markings, not the whole torch. A handy, powerful tool if you need broad flame coverage more than pinpoint control.

  • The coupon code can fail at checkout and prevent purchase at the deal price.

  • The flame diameter can be too wide for fine pinpoint targets and can limit precise searing.

    dedpndafatheroffive

  • The color-changing indicator can be misleading because only small printed areas may turn red.

  • The max power button can create an afterburner effect that shoots several feet and can melt a screen door.

Bad quality
I got it last time around, and while it doesn't feel heavy duty, for now it's working well. Biggest issue would be an old gas tank. Not much to go wrong with gas as long as nothing overheats or melts.

Just worked for me with the code in the OP. I've had it with the damn weeds popping up in the driveway and walkway seams, and I'd rather not get cancer from RoundUp. Those wild violets are going down. ☠️

Tried several times to apply discount code. For whatever it wouldn't allow me to do it. So I didn't purchase it. Really disappointed!!

And amazon does nothing about it......as long as you're buying something 'zon doesn't care.
yeah, you pretty much have to take every review with a grain of salt and hope for the best if you're gonna purchase.
