I have an older version of these (now oos/discontinued)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...th=1&psc=1
They're super cool and have used them on an airplane a handful of times. I'm nearsighted and only complaint is that they sometimes appear out of focus so I have to adjust them on how they fit. I had them paired with my pixel and just in the settings have the video go to the glasses and audio go to my airpods.

You're going to need to get a USB-C to AR Glasses and Charging Adapter. That way you can charge your device (laptop, phone, tablet, etc) at the same time you're using the glasses since the glasses use your device to power them.
This is the main one that most recommend, but it's $40
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...th=1&psc=1

That said there are cheaper options (especially if you go the aliexpress route). The one I got is the "USB C to AR Glasses and Charging Adapter, Charge and Play, Compatible 100W PD Fast Charging for iPhone 17-15, Switch OLED, Steam Deck Connected Viture/Rokid/Xreal AR Glasses 1080P 120Hz/4K 60Hz" but the seller store is now different with zero reviews. Not sure if it will work with these updated ones.

Get it from RayNeo online store instead and get additional 10% off using code DUDEMAN. Final comes out to about $225 + taxes

If you want to go through the hassle. You can do the "trade in" offer RayNeo have going through their official site. You don't actually have to send anything in, just attach a photo of "your" device. They will send you a code bound to your account and you can get the 4 pro for $199.

I won't pretend to be hip to everything going on with this, but I do have the rayneo 3s air pro which are 1080p 120hz. I love them. I have a quest 3, and the 3s air pro is better than having a brick strapped to your face. I like being able to see from the corners to grab a mouse to navigate or whatever. The sold separate sound tube might be nice as the sound is a bit weak on mine. If you cover your ears with the 3s air pros it does focus it a ton better. It works great with my laptop and phone. I don't see a resolution so I expect it to still be 1080p to which I did not experience a screen door effect with my 3s air pros. 3d is cool, but I do not think it supports screen packed bluray. On mine you have to manually set it to 3d sbs.

The glasses have no built-in battery. They are powered via the battery in your phone/tablet/computer/etc. That's why I recommend the adapter - using these will drain your device battery quicker.

Post title is really long and didn't include $299 cost.

It's click bait. This way they get more views. They'll learn......

$249. Clip the $50 coupon. If/when it goes FP, the deal editors will add the price to the title Smilie

I'm interested in getting this type of device for use when flying but it seems impossible to compare all the different companies/models
Also some of them have built in adjustment for nearsightedness and this one doesn't so I guess I would have to get an insert but I'm not sure which is better

Seriously? So you're basically tethered to a device? Was hoping these were like the Ray Bans but with AR

They're like glasses that you use as a monitor with a device. I guess theoretically they could have their own battery and run android tv or something but that would probably make them a lot more complicated.

These are simply monitors attached to glasses. They are not AR glasses.

I think the "AR" branding unnecessarily confuses people unfortunately. Amazon has them categorized as "video glasses" which actually is a much better name for them.
