It's 10% off ($.60) and the reviews list the following negatives:

Waterproof (392)

Slip resistance (360)

Durability (197)

If it was it wouldn't be $6. I bought a similar one for $6 on a slickdeal and it's just a thin piece of fabric. No way it holds up to wear and tear or takes large spills or anything like that but I'll get $6 worth of use out of it even if it only lasts a couple months and then i use it as a drop cloth for painting or something. If you want something that actually looks like a nice blanket then you'll have to spend $30+ at least.

I have 3 of different sizes.
It is waterproof if you define waterproof as protecting what is UNDER it.
Before the first wash liquid beads up on it. After the first wash, fabric absorbs liquid but the silicone (i think) on the underside (my bed). Never a leak
This is fine since I bought it to protect the bed not the cover.
My opinion

Bought a few of these (tried different brands) for peeing/bladder control older dog. They all leak and are no better than a towel.

My Yorkie tested the pad and it is not waterproof. I've washed the pads maybe 6-8 times and the stitching has come loose in a 6" section of the border. They definitely would not last in a busy household with children and active dogs.
