Some won't consider this a deal, but any Kindle lovers who've used one know this is still the one to get and is the subject of countless wish threads and blog posts lamenting the lack of a new model. Given that your only other choice at this time is a potentially dodgy used or refurb model, this will be a hot deal for some.

Is it new, or new old stock though? I have one from 2022 and am loathing the day it finally quits on me. If the battery's from 2025 I would say it's good, if it's several years old I'm not so sure.
This has been my favorite of the series, though the biggest challenge for me has been that case options are extremely limited. I had a model that required a case replacement just recently (luckily the case took the hit from a drop), and I was very fortunate to have happened upon a single option available via eBay. In contrast, my older Paperwhite models were easily encased in various Otterbox and hybrid case options that have kept them safe despite being ridiculously long in the tooth.
I currently look at the Scribe models for potentially fulfilling my Kindle DX size dreams. Unfortunately, case options seem similarly limited(?).

Haven't had to replace batteries in a Kindle since my keyboard models... but nothing's off the table to keep these things going! https://www.ifixit.com/Device/Kindle_Oasis
Of course, I couldn't recommend shelling out this kind of money for a device that's truly been aging on the shelf. This price point is honestly a bit too close to refurbished Scribe range.
I regret giving my Oasis after purchase of a colorsoft.
Note: this Oasis used micro-USB so its old stock.
No, the https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F7TLZF4 Kindle Oasis uses micro USB, not USB-C. Customers frequently ask about this, and while it would be convenient to have USB-C for consistency with newer devices, the Oasis currently charges via a micro USB cable that comes with the device.

Wife hated her oasis compared to the newer paperwhite, it had a micro USB and the battery was less than half of her newer paperwhite, it was also heavier overall

Oh, so do that cable have a usb-c connection on the other end?

I felt the same with my 9th gen. Ended out buying an $8 slip cover/case, put a skin on the back of it, and I read with it caseless. When I'm done, back into the slip cover and into my laptop bag. So much better since you get to enjoy just how thin it is...

I picked up a refurb 1st gen scribe right after the 2nd gen came out. While I love the big screen for sitting around the house reading, nothing beats the one-handed, multi-orientation, weight, and physical page-turning buttons on the Oasis... especially if you're lying in bed.
I absolutely love my Oasis. It has an easy place to hold it, it auto rotates and it has physical page turn buttons. I have a new paperwhite and I curse it every time I use it. No where to easily hold it, DOES NOT AUTO ROTATE (or manual either). My wife has the new scribe and it is just way too big to easily hold when laying down. Knowing what amazon has done to the kindle, I wish I had purchased several of the Oasis before they killed them off
