31 inches wide is going to be very unstable, unless you weigh 100 lbs or less

Please don't buy this. Costco has body glove boards in the $350 range, and there's a million paddleboards used once on marketplace. Get anything but this, and get yourself an electric pump too.
Don't be so damn negative about everything. We have one of these for our kids and it's perfect for them. It's cheap. It works. And if the kids screw it up who cares. Not everything has to be built for adults. This is the perfect board for a kid to teenager who is just getting into paddle boarding.

Fair point, but basically anything is fine for kids. You can get a legitimate board that's been used one time for $100-150 with an electric pump though, and this is a genuine piece of crap. Call me negative if you want but no adult should buy this, it is literally junk

At least add some substance when you criticize a product, not just claim that Costco sells it for over 4x more..

Costco sells a vastly superior board for 350, which can be easily had for $150 or less on marketplace.

The downvotes are incredible....I paddleboard every weekend in the summer and would like more people to enjoy this hobby, and I do not want them to waste their money on this junk, and/or otherwise not enjoy paddleboarding because of these extremely subpar products.

At a bare minimum the ROC paddleboards on Amazon are decent and can be had for less than $200.

Unless it's for kids, please, please do not buy this thing, it is genuinely not worth the box it's shipped in.

Can you please elaborate on what makes Funwater boards subpar? Is it the thickness, the durability, the weight? Have you've used these yourself? What makes these inadequate compared to the ones sold at Costco.

Costco is just a random example of a retailer accessible to many people...

Too narrow, very unstable for adults
Inferior material quality across the board
Inferior fin type and configuration
Inferior seams, which will massively impact durability

Also the body glove ones specifically come with an electric pump... To get these boards to 15psi for most people is going to be a pretty brutal 20 minute workout that will have you starting a paddle with jello arms.

Believe what you want, I own multiple $1000 paddleboards, but I'm just advocating spending at least in the $180 range, the Body Glove Performer is just a very accessible paddleboard that is basically a Lamborghini compared to this Yugo. There are many decent cheap paddleboards but this ain't one of them. It is also almost the only paddleboard brand posted on SD (over and over again at that), and very clearly paid shilling. If you're in SE Michigan send me a message and I will gladly invite you out and loan you a proper board to come give it a whirl if you've never tried.

There's the substance I was looking for! Yeah I've rented a sup board and had issues learning on it and I've always been curious if the funwater boards posted here are anywhere within similar quality of the commercial ones. I flipped one of these yesterday and offered the buyer if they wanted to buy a separate electric pump and they told me they'll stick to the included foot pump. Good luck to them! 😬

My experience with my Funwater board has been positive. Bought one of the 11 footers on a similar deal last spring, used it 10+ times this past summer, have no complaints for the price. I will say that the backpack is made of thin/cheap material and is wearing thin on the bottom, wouldn't be surprised if it breaks within a year. Otherwise, the kit shows no real signs of wear, board is rock solid. And I've banged it around a decent bit on the river.

I know there are nicer boards out there but I've compared my board to friends who bought from better known budget brands (Retrospec, ROC, etc) and it seems about the same. Wouldn't be surprised if all these cheap boards come out of the same factory.

I will agree that the manual pumps are tough but it's not too bad of a chore for a reasonably fit person who doesn't hate exercise. (Especially when you jump into the water to cool off before/after.) Inflation takes about 5 minutes and my arms aren't sore afterwards.

I am grateful for this thread. My daughter (22) wants to get into paddleboarding since she's moved to San Diego so I want to get her a decent quality one (not necessarily brand new) for her birthday but I have no idea what to look for. Great starter info here. I was about to hop on this deal, but considering what ya'll commented and the fact that she's 5'8", the search continues LOL

I have 2 of the Body Glove Performer boards (2 other brands too) that are 7 and 4 years old, beat up on Class II rivers, beaches, creeks, no leaks, no split seams, no deck seperation. Solid value. Their new 2025/26 Performer GTS has less rocker and a tiny bit faster. I broke a paddle (snapped it on a boulder, my fault) and I contacted BG to see if I could buy a replacement ( I really like their paddle since stiff and excellent quality) and they sent me one no charge. What company does that on a paddle that's 3 years out of warranty?
