What's the difference between this and the p2xt that was for $9, which came with 2 mics, couple of days ago?

I wish one of these companies would make an asymmetrical receiver for laptops with two adjacent USB-C ports (e.g. the MacBook Air). Plugging this in blocks the other USB port. One could complain that the MacBook Air only has ports on the left, but come on, it's a kind of standard, the mic companies should acknowledge this (and there's no good reason for the receiver to be symmetrical, except for looks).

Likely a far more common use case is phones or tablets. Look at their image, not a single laptop shown.

For a mobile device with 1 USB C port a symmetrical design makes more sense.

Actually, the very good reason is that probably 90% of people use this with a cell phone - that has the USB C port in the bottom middle.

As for your unfortunate predicament, just get a really short USB C extension cable and be done with it. Always good to have one of those handy anyway.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

This model seems to be designed primarily as a companion for a smartphone. If you're looking for portability, why bring a laptop?

A microphone is for turning sounds like your voice into an electrical signal so they can be made louder, recorded, or sent somewhere else.
