Does anyone know if this requires an additional monitoring subscription, i.e., is the subscription cost per-camera?

I have one of their outdoor cameras. Yes requires a subscription to record to cloud. No I don't believe it is per camera

Only complaint I have about the camera is that the wifi kinda sucks on it. my router is on the second floor of the house 30 feet from the back patio. Nothing else has problems picking up wifi out there but that camera sometimes doesn't work because it has 1 or less bars of signal.

These cameras suck so bad. Take forever to load and are not the best quality. I owned three and moved away from their cameras after a few years. Avoid unless you have no choice.
