One important factor of led strip quality is led count/distance. This looks to be 30 LEDs/meter which is absolute lowest. I would go for 100 at least.

Definitely need a higher density if you want a consistent downlight/uplight. That being said with a controller it seems like an ok deal if you're ok with the mediocrity.
Seems good for my kids fort. Better than stabbing Christmas lights through a box top.

May be overkill for my use case, but I want to plug it into a smart switch to vocally turn on "theater mode" as a TV backlight, then program the smart switch to turn off at midnight in case I forget.

Yeah, I thought these would be fun to run around the second row of seats in my theater room, but I hate Walmart specials. Never available for pick up and I don't buy enough there to bother with Walmart+.
