This comes out to $5.08 a pount if $2.69, $5.65 if $3 , not much difference apart from ability to buy smaller quantities
Assuming the 8.5 oz $7.99 Cashews will be $2.99
It's more than $6 a pound at costco given you have to pay $65 to join the club. Additionally, there are more varieties at Walgreens to choose from and you can get cashews, mixed nuts, pistachios, etc. A huge difference, and not have to fight crowds at Costco. Sometimes, Costco isn't the end all to be all place to buy stuff. Plus many have Walgreens cash to use to pay little or no OOP on this deal, sometimes from MM deals.

No one is joining Costco to buy Cashews and. I'm pretty sure mamy SDers are already members. So factoring $65 is just ridiculous logic to defend this deal. I'm not staying this is a bad deal , just informing that Costco is $6 a pound , which it is. Maybe people hi to Costco anyway, but not Walgreens so it's an extra trip.

I don't think so. you have to pay $65 up front to join. so you must first save $65 on items to just break even. If you start paying more for items at Costco than you'd pay elsewhere, than you have to start deducting that from what you've saved.
Now, if this deal is cheaper, even if by 10%, not sure why anyone would venture to compare to costco when there are so many better options and convenience with this Walgreens deal.
Sorry, there's a degree of COSTCO of snobbery on SD that gets my goat. Not saying you but in every single thread 'how does this compare to Costco'. I think I'm going to start posting in all the Costco threads, "HOW DOES THIS COMPARE TO WALGREENS?"

That's much like saying you have to factor in internet or phone costs to order this online, or gas costs to drive to Walgreens. I save enough money on residual things through Costco that I'm not even really paying for a membership. Gas, rental car, travel perks, cash back.

No, not at all. Costco is the front line seller, it's a fair analysis to compare retailer to retailer.

Costco ain't free. Doesn't matter how much other value you get. It's still an extra $65 over this deal. Many of us also have Walgreens cash which bring down the cost. Stop making these comparisons to wholesale.

Nah, I do not take orders from fellow SDers.... apparently others found my post helpful. I will continue to make price comparisons as I see fit regardless if its Costco or Walmart or any other retailer. If Walgreens is cheaper than Costco on something Id point it out too. I shop frequently at Walgreens and use Walgreens Cash too.

You went out of your way to say not much difference apart from ability to buy smaller quantities , it's cheaper, period. and there's more to the less costly aspect than just the price. are you going to fight the parking and crowds at Costco just to buy a bag of cashews? Here you order online, can pay with Wags Cash, get a selection of flavors or nuts to please the entire family, and not have to join any wholesale club to do so.
I'm sorry, but the unsolicited Costco comparisons in just about every thread gets old, especially when there's nothing to compare. this is cheaper, period. If someone asked what's the price at Costco, fine. But as the saying goes 'no one asked you'.

Why are so defensive? Get over it! I gave facts. Who cares. I didnt say your deal was worse. Don't take it so personal. I think its a good deal. I just pointed out the price of Costco and you are attacking. Do something better with your time. This bickering is a waste of time and I am surprised such a seasoned Slickdealer is keeping this going. So I am just going to unsubscribe from this thread and you can bash my posts and me all you want
