Great printer, as long as it's working. I bought one in October, started failing prints in November. I've been back and forth with RMA for the months now. I'm sure I've spent more time pulling this thing apart to test the next theory, take pictures and videos, and go back and for via email, than I did setting up prints. I wish I had paid a little more for something to start with. I've paid for a more reputable printer several times over at this point with my time alone.

Look up reviews, my experience isn't uncommon.

Not OP but I've got thru a few of these.
Flashforge as a brand is a budget printer. It's great quality out the box but the wear and tear can come quickly, usually with a few months. Support will replace within 30 days but only send parts after that within a year. If you are willing to tinker yourself, it's cool. If not, get another brand.
Here's some issues I've seen personally across multiple modules (adventure, adventure pro, multi color)

Randomly not loading filament. No really cause, it just won't.
Heating element not working due to bad software or hardware issues or both
Leveling not exactly leveling like it should
Inconsistent material heating. Sometimes a print works perfectly then it won't then it will. No changes just the printer wasn't feeling well.
Overall, if you do occasional hobby work and don't mind the occasional misfire, it's good. Works well out the box. If you use it consistently, like daily. You might get a month out of it.

Great printer, 2000% upgrade over my old Ender-3 V3 KE (which was wonderful too). Just wish I spent the extra $ to get the enclosed model. I know I can print much of the items to make mine enclosed, but honestly between the effort, filament, and parts that must be purchased, buying the prefab enclosed version would make more sense for most people.

Got this deal a few months ago. fast delivery from NJ and the printer is great value. Once you get their slicer up and working properly it is very easy to send prints.

I think it would be fine. Basically works right out of the box. If you want to reflash it to a more general software you'll need to do some learning but should be fine with their custom stuff for getting started. The hardest thing about it is that once you get used to core XY you'll be spoiled for all the bedslingers on the market.

I'd look into the A1 for a beginner. I've been doing a lot of prints between my X1C, P1S and the latest 5M for the kids. The 5M is a great value, but I think if you're new and you just want to print without a hassle I'd go with the A1.

I got that last time, months ago. I believe it means they don't want to sell it to you at the discount. Last time when I tried it, if I didn't apply any discounts, it was willing to ship to me but magically with discounts it can't ship to me. Go figure!

I sure hope so. I can't wait to see how bored that algorithm gets with my prints.

I have 5, and they are great printers. If you stick with defaults and don't mess with much, they should work flawlessly. For those who like to tinker, there are many options for that as well. As someone else said above, for this price, it's a no-brainer and a ridiculous value for the old ender 3 bedslingers

By that math, it's a 9000% upgrade over my Ender 3 V1 and I couldn't agree more. I had lost the love for printing with that thing. But the A5M is so fast and easy, I can't imagine living without a modern 3D printer now.

It's dead simple.
