Would BJ's be a decent replacement for Costco? The closest Costco is 15 minutes away and a complete mad house every time we go there.
I believe BJs has a one day guest pass so you can try it out and see if it works for you.

However, I would not replace Costco with BJs imo. They just have a better, wider, and cheaper selection. I got my BJs membership for $5 as some others in this thread mentioned, and with that price, i just have both. Otherwise i would choose Costco over BJs
Their support will typically cut the price by at least half and offer you the link right there to pay it.

1) It was basically free through the Groupon deal
2) We were buying a house, bunch of household things and a 77" LG OLED that made sense to get through them.
The only things we consistently go to Costco for are the raw chicken legs (our dogs food, roughly 50lbs per month) and eggs. Nearly everything we need for produce is simply too large of quantities for us. Chicken legs are regularly on sale at the other stores around us for the same price, so we aren't really saving anything by going there.
Sounds like maybe we could just let our Costco expire, sign up for BJs dirt cheap (I've seen free or 15$ promo's in the mail) and see if renewing Costco makes sense on the next signup deal. Lately Costco Gas has been the same as the other major stations.

if you are signing up as a new member, check groupon first, they usually have memberships for $15 there
hows their gas compared to costco? they are like 4 cents cheaper.
Is Bj's 1-yr membership like Costco's where if you start up at the beginning of the month it runs thru the end of the 12 month, so its like getting an extra month free? Or is it exactly 12 mos?
