The BLUETTI AC70 is a compact LiFePO4 power station that stands out for fast backup switching, Bluetooth battery monitoring, and flexible charging options. It has kept PCs, WiFi gear, and a Mac Studio running through outages without noticeable interruption, and the XT60 input can accept solar, wall adapters, and even external batteries. The main drawbacks are the 20 millisecond transfer time, which may be too slow for some server setups, and the lack of WiFi app access for easy status checks. A few also flag encryption hurdles with Home Assistant and isolated reliability concerns.

note - you need to do some finagling to get bluetooth monitoring of the machine with homeassistant due to encryption.

That said -- its a great machine. but i would also say spend $100 more and get the ac180 with the 1800w inverter

I think that one you're referring to at that price is refurbished?

Pardon my ignorance, but can these be used as UPS? It's really hard to find a UPS with a comparable capacity for this price

20ms ups backup is not enough to be used for server. wish it was closer to 10ms, this would've been a killer!

I use one for my PC. It switches on fast enough when the power goes out it doesn't interrupt my work.

I use a similar Anker C800 for a desktop computer which is also supposed to have 20ms switching time. A smart switch turns off the wall connection every day before 4pm when time of use electricity is more expensive, and the Mac Studio shows zero signs of even noticing it.

How was customer support for your issues? I hear both good and bad but only both extremes.

I got one of these and the AC70P, which has a little more capacity. The best thing is the XT60 input. You can connect lots of different external power sources. Solar is obvious, but I have adapters now for Dewalt 20v, Ryobi 18v & 40v. Plus a larger 48v lithium iron phosphate battery I can connect. Wish I knew that before I bought a large inverter to run my fridge.
