I have this set, they're reasonable for the price but are starting to get rust spots already. I was extra careful because other reviews mentioned the same problem :/
Do yourself a favor and buy a Sof-Tek (same blade as other Winco knives, but with a nice big grippy handle) NSF-certified chef's knife. Get the 8in when it is $11 or less or the 10in when $14 or less on Amazon.
That one knife is absolutely worth the $20 price of this Cuisinart set. I have much more expensive Japanese knives but use a Sof-Tek instead because it is so easy to maintain. It isn't the best steel, but it doesn't rust, and it holds an edge pretty well. I don't have to baby it, and if I damage it, it won't break the bank.
If you have smaller hands then look at the other Winco NSF-certified knives that have plastic handles.
Add a Victorinox paring knife and those two knives will get you through almost everything. You can add a serrated bread knife later to round out the set.
