One runs a full on giant OS with wide app compatibility. One is a specific limited set of functions. It's not entirely equivalent. Also for passive tracking of health trends, Apple is better. Garmin is better for actual workout tracking accuracy.

Agreed. Ion x glass is not as scratch resistant as sapphire

I have 7 and am interested in the new hypertension notification that is only available on 9 or newer versions. For most, it will not be a groundbreaking feature, but if it could detect some anomalies on my blood pressure, it's groundbreaking. I heard it's FDA approved.

If you enable the low power mode, it goes beyond 2 days, well enough for me but you have to enable it back every time you charge it.

I have the 5gen, it's at 70% battery and I'm going to do battery saving to see if it'll last me through the day. Otherwise gonna look at the Nothing watch. I refuse to give Apple new money.

Yes I don't think I have ever seen an apple product discounted so consistently / deeply, $299 is like the new normal price for these.
