I do need a bag like this for work... but even at 40, it seems high. Is it worth it at this price?

Anyone know how does this compare to the smaller non build out 10 in bag. Is it worth the double price?

The Milwaukee tote is on 'sale' for $80. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwa.../302757312

The Flex tote is $110. https://www.flexpowertools.com/st...te-fs1201/

Klein is Tote is $100. https://www.kleintools.com/catalo...-tool-tote

ToughBuilt tote is $100. https://www.acmetools.com/toughbu...4MBBsegAlw

If this bag fits YOUR tools and your needs, it's Great deal, IMO.

Though I do believe the whole Husky Build-Out System is going to be phased out. So that's certainly something to consider. Trying to get stacking cases or accessories going forward could be tough.

I previously bought the Husky 10" Tote.

I went back to the store to take a look at this Husky 14" Build Out Tote to compare. The 14" version is definitely heavy without any tools in it. It is solidly built with a formed bottom that appears to nest with the Build Out boxes. Lots of pockets and pivoting arm like the 10" to give access to the interior -- it felt decently made. If you are more of a pro-DIYer or more likely to carry more power tools / hand tools and accessories, I don't think you will be disappointed. The $40 price was shown as discounted on the shelf, not necessarily a yellow tag clearance even though I think HD is no longer selling this Build Out line. My one reservation about this tote is the weight. Given the size, you are likely to put quite a bit inside and I can see it being heavy to lug around.

The 10" Tote that was highlighted on a different deal fit my particular needs better, so I stayed with that one. Pivoting handle, numerous pockets, interior that can hold power tools / hand tools and accessories. The bottom has 4 rubber feet to keep it off the floor (the 14" Tote bottom was hefty), good for wet or dirty locations. But the weight differential was better for me than all the additional space.

Hope this helps.

The bottom of the 14" Tote seems quite specific to the Build Out line. It will sit on a flat surface, but the bottom had channels that were definitely meant to match a Build Out box.

awesome deal, way better than spending 70-100$ on a glorified handbag
