This promotion pairs early access Project Hail Mary tickets with a three month FanClub trial, and the movie itself is drawing strong interest thanks to the same screenwriter as The Martian. The deal can also be used for more than two seats, with the discount applying to two tickets while extra tickets can be added. The main issue is checkout, which repeatedly fails across browsers and devices for many carts. A workable path has been using private browsing, signing into both accounts, and sometimes adding a third ticket, though cancellation of the membership is reported to be quick.

  • The deal can be made to work by using private browsing, accepting cookies, and signing into both Amazon and Fandango before checkout.

    ToddsterToddster

  • The promotion can add additional seats beyond the initial two tickets, with some seats marked as free.

    Submitcobb55

  • The promotion can discount two tickets from the cart while still allowing purchase of more tickets overall.

    Puttsslickfanatic

  • Cancellation of the FanClub membership can be completed quickly online right after purchase to avoid renewal.

    Putts

  • Checkout can fail repeatedly when attempting to purchase through the deal link, even after trying different browsers and payment cards.

    troysnewTheTimelyRainUnhindered

  • Fandango support can flag an account for fraud after multiple purchase attempts, and resolution may take several business days.

    superchonggoUnhindered

  • The promotion may require buying at least three tickets, and the total cost can include convenience fees that raise the effective price.

    cobb55slickfanatic

  • The promotion can still fail even after using the three-ticket minimum approach, leading some shoppers to pay full price instead.

While I think the movie will be enjoyable I don't think it will be a good adaptation of the book. The preview already made it look "silly". I would say the same about The Martian. The movie is good on its own but I don't feel it was what the book presented.

Also same. I already bought tickets previously for a Prime showing but was trying to cancel and go this route instead and wasn't sure if it was just my showing or something.

My attempts were failed too. I checked different cinemas and the promotion is still not pushing through. I reached out through Fandango support and they said my account was flagged for fraud because there were 10 attempts to buy the tickets. I told them that I wouldn't be making 10 attempts if the promotion was working. Now they said that it would take 5-7 business days to resolve my issue and I told them that the promotion is time sensitive but 🤷 ♂️

Tried a new fandango account, and still it is not working

Also cannot check out. Tried multiple times. Looks like Fandango's membership+sneak.preview promotion is a bust. Might explain why there's still so many IMAX seats that are available. LOL.

I couldn't get it to go through either. I had already purchased two tickets for Dolby Cinema (for $52.21 – the most I've ever paid for a movie!), but I canceled them and tried to rebook with this deal. Everything looked good in the cart, but it threw an error when processing the order. I tried on desktop and mobile. Not wanting to lose my seats, I rebought them at full price.
If anyone gets this to go through, please post here so I can try again!

I have high hopes for it. I was less certain that they would be able to pull off The Martian successfully and they did a good job with that. This has the same screenwriter and I think that this book lends itself more to a movie then The Martian did.
100% chance I'll be disappointed. Waaaay too much detailed storytelling to make the book a 2 hour movie.
Will I still see the movie? Absolutely!
Hope they don't screw up the ending.
