Nice post, matched my deal alert. Not ready to bite because of personal finances but this is a price I like.

The 37 inch ViewFinity S8 is a big productivity monitor that stands out for sharp text, vibrant color, and strong desktop uniformity. It feels light enough to move around, and the built in KVM and USB C setup add convenience for a single monitor workstation. The main cautions are its VA panel, which can show color shift at the far corners, and the size may feel too large if you sit close. Brightness also gets called out as dull on older S8 models, so it suits productivity more than punchy media use.

  • The monitor can work well as a single-monitor productivity setup for desktop publishing and other tasks.

    heavyharmoniesheavyharmonies

  • The panel can deliver razor-sharp text with vibrant color and minimal visible text fringing.

    heavyharmonies

  • The monitor can be easy to manipulate despite its large 37-inch size for desk use.

    heavyharmonies

  • The monitor can offer better uniformity than a mini-LED alternative for Photoshop and desktop publishing workflows.

    heavyharmonies

  • The VA panel can show noticeable color shifting at the far corners on large non-curved screens.

    edgarwong

  • The screen can appear very dark and dull even when the spec sheet lists a 350-nit rating.

    larciel

  • The USB-C model's port configuration can be unclear because diagrams may still show HDMI inputs.

    CoolRoute8143

  • The deal price can change after adding the monitor to the cart, raising the total from the advertised amount.

from a typical office desk viewing distance, isn't 32" ideal for 4K?

I had the M7 32" 4k monitor and the screen definitely shifted colors at the far corners of the monitor. not horrible but noticible. on a 37" it'd be worse. The mail culprit is the VA panel and non curved panel. DPI would also drop a bit, but depending on your eye sight and how sensitive you are about it it might not matter too much.

I have 27" inch version of s8 from 3 years ago. Even though it says 350 nit. Screen is VERY dark and dull.

Weird size and 60hz in today's day and age is wild. It's a good deal for an office setup though. PD monitors are great for clean setups.

this 299 price only appears when USB-c model is selected. However, one of the diagrams still shows one HDMI input port is offered in the USB-c model. Anyone confirm as true?

Slightly too large for how close I sit, but this is a good deal. Thanks!
