As noted by many, on the last checkout screen when you order, SCREENSHOT the page that shows 'your order qualifies for the $30 credit" statement. That way if it doesn't show up, you have substantiation they can't wiggle out of.

I never got my last credit from this deal, when I chatted with Amazon customer service they eventually just offered me a $25 credit.... I saw another commenter on the old deal say the same thing.

If buying cat litter, why not just buy the 3 pack from Walmart for cheaper price per pound even after taking into account the $30 promo credit and need to buy $100 at a time??
Walmart= 3 pack of 35lb bags at Walmart= $39.97 for 105lbs= 38 cents per pound
Amazon= 5 40lb bags at Amazon @22.99 each= $114.95- 30 credit=$84.95 for 200lbs= 42 cents per pound

This Amazon pet promotion can be useful for stocking up on familiar cat and dog items, including Temptations treats, Honest Kitchen, Arm and Hammer litter, and some Subscribe and Save orders. The checkout screen often shows the $30 credit, and screenshotting it is the main safeguard if the credit fails to post later. The biggest drawback is that the credit has repeatedly required Amazon support, sometimes landing as $25 or even less, and the terms appear to limit the offer to one per customer. It is a decent bulk buy only if the qualifying items and proof are clear.

Common Questions (5)

  • It applies to some pet products but not every variation, so each item type needs to show the $30 credit notation in checkout. Examples mentioned as included are Temptations cat treats, Honest Kitchen products, Arm & Hammer litter, and some cat litter or dog food bundles.

    SUCHaDEALSUCHaDEALCreditGuyt3ch

  • Screenshot the final checkout page showing the message that your order qualifies for the $30 credit. If the credit fails to appear later, that screenshot is the main proof Amazon support asks for.

    SUCHaDEALSlyderDealsDerek_KSUPrngr44

  • Yes. Subscribe & Save can be used, and the quantity can be increased beyond the default 3 before placing the subscription order. Multiple items can qualify, but if shipments split into separate order IDs, keeping screenshots is especially important.

    kuchtakly1222

  • The offer terms say one per customer and account, and placing a second order may still show qualification in checkout. The safer approach is to treat it as a one-order promotion because the terms can override what checkout displays.

    wwjrdSUCHaDEAL

  • Not always. One price comparison showed Walmart at about 38 cents per pound versus Amazon at about 42 cents per pound even after the $30 credit, so the promo does not automatically make Amazon the lowest-cost option.

Yes, screenshot everything, especially if you have multiple items in the order. If the items ship separately, Amazon will create new order IDs for each shipment. My theory is when they check 30 days later to make sure you don't return anything, they no longer see a single order with $100 in qualifying items.

This thread reminded me I didn't get the last two promotion credits for this. Chat support asked for a screenshot but I didn't have one. They went ahead and said they gave me a courtesy credit. But after ending the chat I found it to only be $15...

Ahh was going to bite on the doc elseys litter but you can only buy 3 at a time so I can't hit the $100. Guess I'll just have to stick with PetSmart.

If you do Subscribe & Save, you can increase the number from 3 on the subscription page (before clicking the final Subscribe button).

You can buy 2 of the "scented" bags or the multi cat bags and it should still work.

That last offer was the first time I ever had to contact support about an offer like this. Fortunately, they took my word and gave me a $30 GC but I will certainly be more paranoid going forward.

100% make sure you take screenshots and any proof that you can. I never received my promotional credit from the last one either, and when I contact Amazon, they just keep repeatedly asking for a screenshot for proof saying there's nothing they can do.

As others have said, make sure you have a screenshot of the checkout with the offer. I've had to argue with customer service twice now for this deal when the credit didn't show up after 30 days so it's just not worth it for me.

Make sure ALL types have the $30 credit notation, not every type does on these deals. If both types do , great, otherwise skip it.

Snagged another bag of dog food and 2 bags of their treats.

Didn't have any issues last time, screenshotted this time just in case.

I stopped doing this deal because I wasn't getting the credit either. I had to spend an hour with Amazon support to get a $25 credit (not $30). It's not worth an hour of my time. Better off with Chewy and their $30 gift card for $100 spend, we've never had an issue with that one.
