Bought a few years ago for $79, at that time $79 was a common sales price. A decent starter miter saw, nothing special. Make sure to verify the angles before you start using it. Definitely not worth the $179 they are claiming is retail

I also picked this saw up when it was $79 about a year ago. I've been happy with it. It's super light and ideal for aspiring woodworkers on a budget and for taking out to jobsites. The HPT is short for Hitachi Power Tools. The rest if the world knows this brand as Hikoki.

Decent price for a next gen model with a shadow line system among other refined components. I'm looking for one with a slide for wider molding, but may get this,

Any comments on this sliding saw with 2 speeds, laser guide, and 3 blades for $157? https://www.amazon.com/DOVAMAN-Mu...ef=sr_1_19

Agree almost to a T. It's light and serves its purpose, but don't expect to use it straight out of the box without calibration.

I will say if you need mobility, it's great.
