I have a premium Shun and while it's a nice knife it's not a handmade Japanese knife. I used to baby it then my wife left it in water in the sink overnight once and I was amazed to discover it didn't rust.

Note that 6" is shorter than the more common ~8" chef's knife and looks like it has a shorter heel. If you have big hands your knuckles might knock on the cutting board depending on how you cut. Perfect as a sandwich/prep knife though.

I bought this on a whim, and didn't realize it wasn't full tang, and had a plasticky feeling handle. Couple of reviews on amazon show the handle snapping off.
I started a return on amazon, and amazon is offering me 11.80 + tax to just keep the knife and not return it. šŸ«
