They have great products for the most part, but unlike our favorite (the Madras Lentils) this product contains seed oils. So if you are watching out for those, pay close attention to the ingredients.

I can't justify the price when potatoes are so cheap to buy in comparison, but these are actually very tasty.

FYI, it's one or the other, I bought the rice and the split pea didn't have the discount/coupon.

Any reason *besides weight* these wouldn't substitute well for freeze-dried backpacker pouch dinners (which cost 4x more) on a weekend backpack trip?

Check which one you're getting, if you want this to be a full meal.
Most of these are generally sauces that are expected to go over rice (rice not included).
Your typical backpacker meals include everything for a meal.
(Also, the weight)
