Yes, absolutely. It's not a technically high demanding game, so it should be fine on the Switch.

If there was and upgrade path for Switch 2 I would grab this for the cheaper price but unfortunately there isn't.

This game received an unofficial Switch 2 update and features a 60fps mode. I don't believe it's as sharp as the new fidelity mode but I would think most people prefer it.

There's no Switch 2 specific version of this game, that's only DQ I & II HD Remake.

Yes that's true and it's great that it did. I just meant to say Dragon Quest I & II has both Switch and Switch 2 versions unlike Dragon Quest III, which only has the Switch version (but of course a Switch 2 specific update). For Dragon Quest I & II, if you own the Switch version and play it on a Switch 2 system, you will NOT receive a Switch 2 update, and there is no way to upgrade it to the Switch 2 version. They're treated as completely separate games. Square Enix goes over the differences here: https://www.square-enix-games.com...-2d-remake

It received a patch to run at 60fps on Switch 2. It's not advertised as an official "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition," but it has been updated! Similar to the patch that Link's Awakening and Mario Odyssey received. Sorry if I worded that poorly!
