Norton is garbage but Norton standard costs $3.25 elsewhere

Have mine going strong over a year, no issues. I actually hate the cloud functionality and the subscription aspect, so I love this removed it. Feels like a DRM-free version of Word

You don't even have to wait until Windows updates files. Microsoft can monitor their software when you are online. Eventually, Microsoft establishes that a key is being used to activate unauthorized software and then they block the key. Next time you go to use an Office program, you will get the message to enter a legitimate key.
