These are awesome, built like a tank too. The old owners of my house left one when they moved and I feel like it has to be at least 10 years old and it sits exposed in the desert sun.
Edit: Looking at reviews, it looks like they might have "value engineered" these and they are not what they used to be. That is a shame.

Large fireman style piece of junk. Rough cast zinc, plastic, and rubber. Abysmal flow and laughable spray patterns. Quickly corrodes, making valve operation, and nozzle adjustment ROUGH AND GRITTY. Don't waste your time, or money.
Cheap alternative idea:
Solid brass, rubber seal. Smooth, easy operation. Twist nozzle to turn on/off and adjust pattern. Goes from fine fan mist to strong pencil jet stream. Better pressure AND flow than Gilmour nozzle*. No leaks or drips. The FGHT (female garden hose thread) area looks like it could've been made a bit thicker (2.3mm) and a hex profile would be appreciated. Other than those minor complaints, it's surprisingly sturdy. 4" long closed and weighs a tad over 3.5oz (101.5 grams).
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR ARTHRITIS SUFFERERS OR ANYONE WITH POOR/WEAK GRIP. Nozzle body is slim (around 11/16", 18mm) and may be difficult for them to grip and twist. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Morvat-S...5015141833
YES it's a 2 pack, but a single is $11.25 ($13.68 for nickel plated) and a 2 pack is $12.74.
* * Comparatively better for me. Woodford commercial frost free hydrant, 3/4" water line, 3/4" reinforced rubber garden hose, 105PSI at hydrant nozzle.
Long post and excessive detail purely because I loathe the Gilmour nozzle that much.

No it sucks, I bought one a long time ago. Has terrible pressure for jet, and no good fine ability for plants. It just dumps water at low pressure. It might last a while, but for what good, it does nothing well. (it does soak an area good for leaving on in a spot, but so does a water hose with nothing on it)
My current favorite is the HD Husky.
I also bought one of those made in usa all brass twist wand type. Terrible ergonomics nothing to hold, end up holding the hose with hand hurting, and it's always high pressure so bad for watering plants.

HD Husky ( the jet is almost like a pressure washer) https://www.homedepot.c
