120$ after the "huge " discount? Meh , field supply online has so many knives on clearance marked down 10-20$ then a bunch for 50$+ that are just as good - unless I'm missing something w/ this knife like maybe going Rambo® in the woods using this knife as a log splitter using a big rock as a hammer or maybe the blade is va$$tly superior & if it is that good a knife , plz forgive my ignorance

Edit - the sharpening the blade for life could be a game changer , I assume sipping to & from would be 10-20$ to receive a brand new blade - very impressive
I purchased 2 BM's last year and both came from the factory with very rough 'shark tooth' edges on their blades. Very visible to the naked eye. The first was an Osbourne. It was so bad I sent it back and they re-sharpened it. It was returned a little but not much better. I posted an image of the blade edge on a Benchmade forum and people were mostly commenting about just sharpening myself. My point was and still is if you buy a knife, especially one so highly priced as a Benchmade, you expect it to come decently sharp since the purpose of a knife is to cut. Net I've quit buying them as for the price you can get better knives that also come razor sharp from the get go. It's ironic they offer free sharpening when my experience is that this is an area they cut corners on at their factories.

I got my son a Benchmade for his birthday. I wasn't overly impressed with the quality when I opened it. Came way over tightened such that it was hard to open.
Honestly, the $8 Ozark Trail knives from Walmart feel more premium, although obviously the BM has much better steel

100 percent. I've had to return multiple knives that ended up being fake. I will never buy a knife off Amazon again

Not a bad deal for that specific knife, but not a great deal either. It can be had for cheaper if you're patient.

I have this knife and I paid $150 for it about 2 years ago. I sharpen it about once per month and blade retention is nice. Its a good smaller edc in my opinion.

I carried an S30V Doug Ritter version of the Mini Griptilian and full-size Griptilian for years. This is an excellent handle design, but the best part is the AXIS lock.
They have done a decent job of sharpening for me in the past. I find the shipping to be okay but high enough that I bought my own Gatco diamond sharpening set. If you go to a local trade show that has a Benchmade booth, they often do free sharpenings while-you-wait there. They use Worksharp mini belt sanders to do the sharpening.
I currently carry an S30V Benchmade Bugout Carbon Fiber Elite full-size daily. Also an excellent knife. Haven't had to send it in for sharpening since I learned how to properly sharpen the tips of drop point knives by watching a YouTube video talking about how the blade's spine gets thicker near the blade tip, thus the sharpening angle has to be steeper near the tip.

real knife fans don't let others buy a benchmade. Overpriced and oh, they openly support violating your 2nd amendment rights. Let's not forget that situation years ago.

Why are you twisting reality to support a made up narrative? They helped destroy guns that were required to be destroyed. Can you not act crazy by pretending that means they "openly support violating your 2nd amendment rights"?
