The reviews on Best Buy mention the limited RAM. A review from just five months ago claimed they spent $40 on a 16Gb stick and even included the Amazon link to what they bought in their review. That same item on Amazon is now $127.61.

I'd argue that paying money for a 3050 in 2026 is the bigger issue. AMD and Intel both offer more robust integrated graphics now.

A 3050 laptop is not really for a serious gamer. It just a bonus on a budget laptop. You can run some Esports or older AAA games at 1080 at low to medium. Also they are rereleasing the 3060 soon due to the DRAM crunch so we are at the gates of PC building Hell.

In a bubble, the GPU and Ram increase is probably worth $100 more than this one. I dont know if the laptop is worth $650 though.

I bought this same laptop a few months ago on Open-Box special and so far so good no complaints! Upgraded to a 32GB RAM kit and added 1TB SSD so no lag or slowdown, playing Dead by Daylight at 1080p Low settings and hitting 144Hz.

Been sub $500 multiple times, you can search SD and easily find it. 3-4 years old processor and GPU, and 8GB RAM for over $500 is a joke.
