3D World & Bowser's Fury is great.... gameplay wise, this felt like a more natural progression from Super Mario World vs. Mario 64 which I loved, but that felt like a HUGE leap forward compared to its predecessor.
Having played 3D world with 2 school aged children, it's chaos & not the fun kind. The game seems to randomly pick which character the camera focuses on (i.e. I'm player 1 progressing forward and if 1 kid is wandering off doing his own thing, everyone will get moved to the kid f'ing around). I found it more manageable if it's just only 1 other kid but YMMV.
That all said, Bowser's fury is at least 5 years old... so the main game is older than that (2013 on the Wii U)... It's absurd to me that a game this old can still go for this much.

Wish these were still even cheaper - might just rent from the library instead. Shoutout to local libraries that you can rent Switch games from just like the video stores of our childhoods, except 100% free as long as you get it back in time!

Borrowing from libraries is a great way to go. Sadly those around me don't have video games.

3D World was a fun game for me to play 10 years ago on Wii U after I picked it up for $10 I think. They add a small bit of content, put it on switch, and charge $60. Seems preposterous, but compared to so much other trash games out there, what else are you going to buy?
Choices are slim these days if you don't want to play horror, blatantly demonic, or sexualized video games. Mario is still pretty tame comparatively, barring the occasional haunted house levels.

Switch 2, though, comparatively, has been a joke. Many video game news companies trying to convince you that reissue games are worth paying lots of money for. Switch 2 games have been a joke, including Donkey Kong Bonanza.

Once the initial hype is over, most will see that Switch 2 games were a joke, at least for the first year of its release, or maybe longer. We will see.

They should have launched with a follow up to Mario Odyssey. It would have changed everything.

Agreed with the multiplayer comment. I thought this would be fun to play with my kids but it was so frantic. I beat the game solo but when playing with my kids I was dying even at low levels. A lot of it was the camera, as you said. I normally pace my jumps and such by how my character is positioned on the screen and when it's panning all over it makes it difficult and not in a fun way.

By "rent" I assume you mean check out, and yeah, I agree. I'm not sure why you would even consider buying it if you can get it from the library for free.
As someone who lived in a city with a very healthy video game collection and moved to a small town 1/30th the size that does not... I miss it so much.

It isn't "artificially" high. It is called supply and demand. Nintendo can do that because they have the IP everyone wants. Mario, Zelda, etc. That is why their hardware doesn't have to be as good as Sony and Microsoft. It isn't hard to understand.
This isn't a supply and demand issue at all. This game is half a decade old so not a large demand at this point and there is plenty of supply out there.
Supply and demand is more about how if a game is in short supply and is really hard to get then the demand is high... that there is an inverse relationship. That doesn't apply to this at all.
Understanding of economics is a good thing.

Seriously? There's a ton of video games out there that aren't any of those things.
