A couple notes I'd suggest -- check into something like a Fitcamx which integrates seamlessly with a lot of cars, versus having a bunch of wires running. This is a stick-on type camera versus the fitcamx's "invisible" camera. I believe Fitcamx also has a higher resolution (though not sure how the quality compares).

Also look into whether or not you need a camera while driving, or a camera also while parked -- many will require additional hardwiring to record while parked.

I got one for my Toyota about 2 years ago and it's worked great -- it integrates into the lane assist housing so it looks OEM, and it installed in about 10 minutes and didn't need me to run wires from the lighter port or anything, it was all self contained. There's another option that adds a rearview camera, but I opted for just the front one

Would definitely buy one again if I needed!
