I use these in deep bathroom cabinets to stack extra shampoos & shave gels. Works great.
ETA: I just pile them up. I don't use one bottle per slot. It holds more that way.

I want to use something like this to organize bottles in the kitchen and pantry of stuff I do use (not just stuff I have and think I will use like 9 bottles) but I definitely seriously don't want to buy additional plastic for that. Any alternative materials that I can build such a shelf with? Paper/wood? All I could think of was dowels to make it a stand but don't know how can I build the other stuff.

You could make something like this. The interior is just interlocking strips of cardboard with cuts halfway through.

You can build something like this
https://www.instructables.com/Hig...Wine-Rack/

If you build it small, you can probably use only 2x2 furing strips, no need for studs. And you can space it as you need.

Or search Facebook Marketplace. I bought something comparable for $10, which is less than the cost of the wood alone

This looks like something built by the Doozers from Fraggle Rock. Lol! That said, in for 1 to see if they taste like candy.

Seriously aging myself here!

Doesn't that result in bottles failing? Plastic bottles tend not to like continued pressure from the side.
