They used to be a good RAM manufacturer long ago. But with their video cards? Not in my experience. However, it has been more than 10 years since I had to deal with them. I've avoided over the years.

nah 549 is msrp so its +50 over msrp. still closer than the rest ie 5070ti is +250 now.
depends on the range but b580 at 300, 5070 at 600 or 9070xt at 730 are the main ones to be looking at right now.
and if you need a gpu i'd buy sooner than later.

i have two 3080's for HTPC's. i was able to order deshroud mods for them on etsy for two 120mm noctua fans and flashed the 450w asus strix 3080 bios on them. gave them quite the uplift to have more power target with over clocking

In the past their products were fairly good. Their USB drives are $#!T quality due to using cheap and faulty memory controllers. They refused to warranty them. Not sure if their other products are better quality. I feel like theres a Belkin sticker under the PNY logo half the time

Anything that uses DRAM has been going up in price. There have also been reports that Nvidia won't be releasing any new GPUs in 2026 so prices have been going up since black friday.

i got back into PC gaming with a prebuilt 4060 rig i got in 2024 for $800... works great for what i use it for, but every time i see a 5070 for sale... my buy now finger twitches....

$100 more can get 9070 XT 16GB around 20% faster card and more VRAM.
