They are really trying to get rid of these. They sound ok. The V curve is real.... real pain in the ear.

The engineer that came up with permanently burning the eq preferences into speaker circuit - hope they get into sound hell.

I just received these a few days ago. I was hoping to upgrade from my 20 year old Polk R50's that I got for $150 from Fry's. They require a lot of power to get loud. My Polks are way my efficient. They sound ok, but definitely a downgrade from what I had. They will blow any HTIB speakers away. For anyone wanting to just try them, return shipping is $49. I think I'm going to try out some Dayton T65s next.

I have these. Too frugal to switch them out.

Hey, it's me! I am the average person!!

And I have never listened to a $1000 set. Just your average stereo. I wouldn't even consider myself an audiophile. honestly, I think I can't hear very well these days. but the whole mid range sounds like it's in the valley. even with room correction software, all I can hear is the bass and the strings. everything else is just in there somewhere.

This pair weighs 30lbs. Don't sneeze, they might blow over. My Eosone towers, for instance, weigh about 130lbs.

I'm pretty sure they weigh 30 lb EACH, but still that is super PUNY! I'm also doubting the claimed frequency response of 37Hz - 26kHz (+/- 3dB). I'm not sure I've EVER seen a speaker with three 5" woofers get down that low. Especially since the woofers must have very small magnets due to the low overall weight of the speaker.

I'm not saying these are bad speakers, they are perfectly fine for the low price - but don't expect miracles out of them.

Klipsch bought Jamo a few years back. Not sure if Jamo is even putting out new products. It seems Klipsch has been incorporating some of the speakers or similar designs into some of their cheaper designs. Costco sold a cheap pair of Bookshelf speakers I believe that looked like the Bookshelf speakers from this series. The new Promedia Computer speaker system Klipsch released recently looks like a ported version of the Jamo subwoofers.
