The original version was much better. Something is not right with this game. ( I finish all Metal gear games on all platforms )

For fans it's nice to revisit the game with its updated visuals and optional control update. For the uninitiated it's the best way to play a classic game, but the strict adherence to the original makes it feel dated.

It's okay but it is just the original game with modern graphics. They didn't really change anything or offer anything new. Because of that, even with the control update it still plays very tanky and outdated.

It's for a single play through nostalgia trip because the updated visuals are nice, but the fact that this was even a full price game at once point is ridiculous.

Love this game. It's worth the price. Just bought it a week or two ago and am on my third playthrough. I played the original a while ago, but it never clicked with me. Probably the controls, maybe also the yellow filter on everything. The lip syncing in this version has been fixed, which makes a huge difference. And it has all the extras, including stuff like the Secret Theater, Snake vs Monkey, etc.
