I agree that there is a lot of spam on SD, but this isn't a bad deal. Energizer MAX are presently $11.30-11.70 at WM and Target. If you like the MAX batteries, this is worth getting. Is your argument that generic batteries that not are not Max are just as good? Which ones? The no-name-ish Voniko 4 pack is $6.50. For 0.50 more, the MAX here are worth it to me.

I have to laugh because the 2 pack is $6.75 ($1.99/oz). I always thought the unit price of batteries was per battery.
