This would be cool if it somehow held drill bits* too (normal drill bits, not hex shank). But neat idea to have frequently used bits hanging off something like a technician's tool bag as opposed to being buried in a pocket.

*I guess you could use a drill bit to hex adapter.

Agreed. Very niche use.

This is extremely useful for hex head bits

I use this daily. Clip this on the outside of my tool bag using the most common bits. I love that fact that I can remove this with one hand cause you pull the sleeve and the bit will come off. Really useful for me.

It's kinda stupid to want it to hold normal round bits, it would make the design extremely more complex when you can just get hex drill bits. These things are very useful, I basically keep 3-4 on the ring and have a drill bit to tap holes, a T25, a philips head, and that covers the majority of my work when I head up a ladder or doing a small project without having to go back to the bit case.

The main thing to check is if the bit removal is push in, or pull out. Most of them are push to release. I prefer pull to release when my other hand is holding something in place, otherwise you have to push it against your body while pulling the bit to get it out.

Not sure "very" niche, but like any product it probably won't fit every human on earth use case. For example, anyone who works in a mobile repair / mechanical job likely deals with 2-5 very commonly used nut sizes (for us in HVAC it's 1/4 and 5/16). You end up with a pocket full of those bits and you still can't find the right one! Same goes for plumbing, appliance installer, household repair, mobile mechanic, networking installer / repair, cable TV, etc. If you carry a tool bag for a living, this might be a huge time saver. But your average weekend warrior working out of the tool box in his garage...probably not. But I doubt he could eyeball the right bit size so he'd likely have to try each one regardless Wink

Never knew I needed this. Nice!

$10 same thing but adds a right-angle adapter, a couple flex adapters, and a few short extensions.

However, it's unclear how the bit-holders operate on some of these. I'm not sure how easy it would be to use only one hand to insert a bit into them (like you would an impact driver).

If you're only using 1/4" and 5/16", how do you end up with a pocket full of bits?

Did you buy this? Why not?

Pocket full of bits because you are carrying multiple of each as they can strip / disappear so easily, plus a 3/8 and socket adapter just for CYA. Not to mention the bolts, nuts, screws you just took off because you aren't going to hold those in your mouth.
And yes, I did buy this. I'm going to pull on the handle of my drill bag so I always have a 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, socket adapter, and a empty (or angle adapter if I'm feeling frisky). Instantly taking all of the above from the bag to my pocket (or belt loop) as a single group by just unclipping the carabiner. No searching in the bottom of the bag endlessly for that one elusive size.

Did you buy this? Of course not, you are complaining about "vErY NiChE UsE" case when clearly you pay people to hang pictures Wink

*Remember kids, your limited use case (or imagination) does not define reality....
