For $2, I took a chance.
I'm thinking over fettuccine with some grilled chicken breasts could be a quick weekday meal.

I mix this with red sauce and am very happy with the comparatively low calorie results.

Any tips to enhance the flavor? I tried this last time and does not taste good. I still have few jars left.

These are $1.50 at many Kroger affiliate stores this week. Just got some on Friday.

Must be regional, I guess. At my Kroger, they're $2.79 each, with a promotion to save $1 when you buy five jars. The Amazon deal is slicker.

There are some things you can do to food, in general, while cooking to enhance flavor. Try one or more of the following:
- heat the sauce with a couple of tablespoons of dry sherry. The alcohol will evaporate because it has a lower boiling point than the sauce.
- add a teaspoon (or more to taste) of fish sauce because it adds umami. It does not taste fishy. If you've have used Worcestershire sauce (another possibility), you've had a sauce containing cured anchovies.
- try adding 2+ teaspoon of nutritional yeast. Not only is it good for you, but it amplifies the cheesiness of the sauce.

Yes, Kroger sales are always going to be regional.
