This CRKD Gibson Les Paul controller is mainly appealing as a modern rhythm game guitar for Fortnite Festival, Rock Band style play, and PC use. It works on PC without drivers and can connect by Bluetooth, USB adapter, or wired USB, and the Xbox version is also compatible with Xbox One and Series S and X. The mechanical strum bar gets praise, while the standard Xbox neck frets are described as very stiff. The Xbox model is also narrower in platform support than the multiplatform version, and the price has recently been seen at its lowest yet, with earlier coupon pricing even lower.
The multiplatform version supports broader console compatibility including PS3 and PS4/PS5, which can expand where the guitar can be used.
The controller can work on a PC without installing drivers and supports Bluetooth, a USB adapter, or wired USB connection.
The controller can be used with Fortnite Festival, which supports rhythm-game play beyond basic controller use.
The Xbox model can reportedly be adapted to behave more like the multiplatform version using a Retro Cult Mod Minihost adapter.
The Xbox version may feel less suitable for some players because the standard neck frets can be too stiff even after removing rubber pieces.
The controller may not teach guitar skills, since it does not provide instruction for learning guitar.
The Xbox version may be the wrong choice for intended use because guidance says the multi-platform version is required.
The controller may be a poor substitute for learning guitar because Rocksmith-based learning is described as more effective than using this controller.

The standard neck on the black tribal is quite terrible though. The frets are too stiff even with removing the rubber pieces on the frets. Also I believe you can change the Xbox model to behave like the multiplatform through Retro Cult Mod Minihost adapter.
