That's not true. There's extra bosses in this for example. I would also like to point out that while not what I would consider "additional content" there's new warp pipes to help cut back on backtracking, which is one of the only major pain points of the game.

Wow, I am surprised by a lot of the negativity that this deal is getting! However, I understand why some people have the opinion that they do. Not all re-releases, re-masters, ports, or whatever they may be are created equal!

Just sticking to Nintendo, I personally consider the "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" HD release on Wii U to be an awful, lazy port, especially compared to Wind Waker's HD re-release, which involved an enormous amount of effort.

The TTYD release on the Switch is more like Wind Waker HD! An incredibly huge amount of work went into modernizing this game. It was, essentially, a wholly new game when it comes to the time and resources invested in developing it, with the previous game existing just as a guideline. New engine, coding, models, textures, you name it!

I believe a lot of folks who believe this is not a deal may not understand that. The level of effort that went into making this is as much as (and in some cases, is more than) there would be put into any other brand new modern game.

Now, if that is still not enough for them, I understand. Everybody can spend their money on what they want! To me though, this is a wonderful deal on an excellent game that another generation gets a chance to enjoy!

This runs at 30 compared to 60 fps in the original. Sloppy port/remake in my opinion. I would run it on Dolphin until they decide to run this at proper 60 fps.
