These are like eating "lite" chips.
You still get the crunchy of the chips but less flavor.
Worth the gamble if you are on the fence.

As a guy who likes lightly salted chips, how would these compare?

If you just want a nice crisp without tons of salt/flavoring, they are excellent. I just bought 5 bags (max).

Vinegar potato chips are diabolical. I know for a fact that people that enjoy them are the type of people who put pineapple on pizza. A criminal act. This is a scientific fact.
I really hope I don't have to share the same place in hell with those pineapple misfits

These chips are a gimmick. "Air fried"? Really? Fried chips usually have 7-0 grams of fat per serving. These have 6. All you have to do is check the ingredient list. The second ingredient by weight is oil ...

Because you still need oil to air fry.

Idk, my favorite brand of kettle style chips are Grandma Utz kettle style. They have 9g of fat per serving but the killer, imo, is the 3.5g of saturated fat: https://www.target.com/p/utz-gran...A-52725392 These may only have 3g less total fat, but they have 0 saturated fat. For someone watching their cholesterol every gram less of that bad fat is a win for the occasional splurge snack.

Edit: Wow regular lays have 10g fat per serving, https://www.target.com/p/lay-s-cl...A-47085532

These things are addictive. I dont even like salt and vinegar, but I'll eat these. Just enough sourness to and salt to make them yummy

I got the Kettle Brand Dill delivered yesterday, partially flattened for optimal shipping. I started a return but its cheap and its not completely dust, just crushed so its fine but beware.
