Five Guys is a customizable burger deal that shines when loaded with toppings, Cajun fries, and the app or promo code. The BOGO math brings burgers down to roughly five to six dollars each in several checkout examples, and the free peanuts and generous fry portions add value. The main knocks are the high regular prices, extra fees on delivery, and the fact that fries and buns can be soggy or inconsistent at some locations. It feels like a solid way to get a better burger for less, especially if you skip the full meal upsell.

  • The promo code can fail or be unavailable at certain locations, and some checkouts show eligibility errors.

  • Fries quality can vary, with reports of soggy or limp fries at some locations.

  • Burger buns can disappoint, including reports of generic buns or buns going soggy quickly in wraps.

  • Delivery fees and taxes can erase much of the coupon value for delivery orders.

This evening, we visited and took advantage of the BOGO offer—however, the employee told us they had been overwhelmed all day filling orders. Strangely, when attempting to input the code manually on the phone, there was an extra letter, preventing it from working. Fortunately, my wife was able to copy the code precisely from this page and get it to work for me. Initially, I thought it was simply not functioning, so I gave up. Additionally, for us here in San Antonio, the Forum location is completely encircled by ongoing I-35 ramp construction, with nearly every avenue either closed or severely congested—traffic at 9:30 pm was especially terrible leaving the location.

I haven't been to FG in years and the last time was just because I had a hankering for their fries. I work a late shift tonight but get out an hour before they close so I decided to take a chance and just order a pair of bacon cheeseburgers for pickup after work. Hopefully a pickup time of half an hour before close isn't a PITA for them. I get the feeling that no matter how much I like the burger (I plan to just eat half of one and save the rest for tomorrow or something) my stomach is going to disagree with me when I try to go to sleep later. I somehow am still in a stage of life where I can eat several hundred to a thousand calories as an occasional snack yet maintain my weight.

I get buy 1 get 1 promo with Ubereats pretty often. My fave burger(fried onions, mushrooms, no cheese) consume with hot coffee. Absolute goat. and Don't compare this to Shake Shak lol, FG frenchfries alone best in business.

Is a free hamburger worth creating an account and getting spam and unsubscribing from that spam? Nah.

Add me to the "how does Five Guys stay in business?" club. Tried the BOGO today. for $7 it was an OK value by todays standards. But at 13.50 I would have been pissed off! Once you hit that price point, you expect something much better than their "product". A toasted Brioche bun, not a soggy generic bun that you can get 8 for $1.69 at any grocery store. Premium ingredients like thick cut bacon, onion straws, or some chef crafted combination. Not basic, low cost McDonalds ingredients. Quality beef, not a flavorless grey patty. If you're going to do mushrooms on a burger they HAVE to be fresh, don't bother if you're using canned mushroom pieces. Even at $7 I'd still probably opt for grabbing a $6 burger from Wendy's. There's just nothing there to justify spending more. At $13 50 they pretty much guaranteed I'll never be back but thanks 5 guys for giving me the opportunity to confirm what I learned the last time I ate there 5 years ago.

If there is ever a true revolution in this country, my first target is the lying news media.
The media? How about the billionaires who are intent on making the rest of us poor? Unless you're referring to the pro billionaire media outlet which I won't mention by name…

This is for the Amex Gold card only. Not Delta Gold, the regular Amex Gold. It has a monthly $10 dining credit that can be used at five guys
I wonder why they make that distinction...seems so ridiculous
