The estimated shipping date is hilarious. But this has been the same price at Walmart for about a month. You can always price match at Best Buy. This is probably the best price you'll see outside of Prime Day or Black Friday deals. If you buy one, remember to accept a referral before activating it so you get at least a $30 credit.

Is the referral good for existing accounts that are upgrading from the Quest 2 or does it have to be a new account?

The credit should apply when you activate a new headset. Just make sure you accept a friend's referral before hand or you can easily find one on Reddit. If you have any questions, Meta support should be able to help.
