  • Dynamic and accurate bass popularly associated with a sealed enclosure, yet with greater low frequency output due to the dual 4" multi-tunable ports.
  • Max extension down to 12Hz, the subsonic region of visceral "FELT" bass!
  • F2 (2db roll-off) of 17Hz!
  • One band PEQ (Parametric Equalizer) included
  • Hypex Ucd module-based amplifier with toroidal power transformer and two large 12000uF/80V capacitors
  • 15" black anodized aluminum high excursion driver
  • Solid and very inert enclosure with multi-tune feature
  • Bass extension control allowing adjustment of bass extension and excursion control
  • Selectable 12/24 db/octave crossover filter slope
  • What sets them apart from the competition: their patented Direct Servo technology which enables precise control over the cone---essential for tight, dynamic and accurate bass. It also counteracts many different driver non-linearities and allows the use of lighter drivers which avoid the need for excessive amounts of amplifier power---no need for a power-gobbling 2000 watt amp when 400 watts can get the job done. http://www.rythmikaudio.com/technology.html
  • Weight: 100lbs
  • Warranty: 5 years
Rythmik is a consumer-direct, subwoofer-specialist company based near Austin, TX and founded in 2001. They ONLY make and sell complete home subwoofers and sub parts (amps and drivers for the DIY folks).

This is way too expensive for a SINGLE burner induction cooktop and most of my pots and pnas don't even work. Also can be very loud.

Which subwoofer do you recommend as an alternative cooking surface? Also, loud seems like a GOOD thing for a powered subwoofer...

Just a reminder that 2 cheaper subs are better than 1 great one. Peaks and nulls are huge problems that can't be EQ'd out, even with placement. So if you're sold on this model, it should be for 2x.

when I built my home theater I had a decent budget set aside and auditioned tons of subs and went with Rythmik over HSU and other brands. No idea how good of a deal this is but incredible sound quality from Rythmik subs.

Desirable/ideal, but not required. Most folks who are not fussy-eared are fine with one as long as it's adequate for the room and of course, their expectations.

Actually proper placement is one way to deal with peaks & nulls.
Room treatments is another.

Adding a second sub CAN help with proper placements & integration(ie good bass management).
If this is not followed, it can make peaks & nulls worse.

If this science isn't required then all these measurements are irrelevant.
In that case you can just get a $400 sub(ie RSL10e), tuck it in a corner & call it fantastic.

I would agree with you. Especially since at this level, you probably have some higher expectations for sub performance in the first place

But 2( or more of these) should give you quite a home theater experience, especially if you like what I call the " bang in the chest" type of listening environment

^ True.

Much better idea than overpaying for a single mediocre small sealed sub like an SB3000 and thinking you own the bees' knees. 🤣🤣🤣

Good point, those will give you loud, bang in your chest performance for much less.
Especially as someone pointed out you get two for the same price, which is great!
