Check seller recent negagive feedback. Lots of complaints of abused returns sold as "new open box". Have had similar experience with them along with difficult return process.

Cheapest TV possible, then buying the ones people returned because they didn't like it or they were defective. Sounds like a great thing to buy.

A friend of mine bought an open box Samsung LED from ebay once. It was so puzzling. I never turn the contrast or backlight up to torch mode because it ruins the picture. That TV was the only one you had to turn up all the way and it still looked like crap. This was before Samsung started outsourcing all their panels too. But I assume it as a Chinese Panel.
