if batteries die / sensor dies / etc. you can bypass 2 ways.
on the black box that controls the sensor, you can twist a nob on the lower left hand side to bypass sensor and effectively turn it into a traditional faucet (use handle to manually turn on/off hot/cold water)
alternately you can unplug the water line running to the black box and the water line running from the faucet and hook those 2 lines together, thereby completely bypassing the black box.
if i have to i always go option one, since option two involves some risidual water in the lines spilling out. simple and easy to do if you have to

I want to share an actual failure experience I have after 5 years of having this. I have to use it in manual mode because what I think is the solenoid is failing. I have changed the batteries multiple times and when i wave my hand in front I hear the solenoid try to activate but no water comes out. Usually by the fifth attempt it will start flowing.

We recently had this issue but still has 10 months left of the 5yr warranty. We found out it was due to the rubber gasket falling apart at the faucet head, and small rubber particles blocking the water flow. It could also be the solenoid failure as well. We called the CS and they were very prompt in sending replacement parts. In our case, they sent out the faucet head and solenoid and we replaced both and it's been two months and working great. We had one in the old house for a few years before this and it worked great.

Works really poorly as a bidet, despite the name, and has some unexpected flaws. For example, my wife left me. Found out the hard way some people are really, really against bidets, especially when they're in the kitchen in front of a window. Just when you think you know someone, right? At least now I can keep myself clean in peace. Women, can't live with 'em, ya know?

I bought this, but forgot to apply the 15% discount code. Emailed customer service about it and they refunded me the difference from the discount code. I also had this from the previous Home Depot sale for my old house, no issues. Just installed this in my current house.

Costco used to sell these for 150. been using this from 2018.
Good quality faucet. you will love it with motion activated open/stop during regular washes. really handy. no issues just change AA batteries every other year. if you dont like motion, there's a knob to turn it off and use the faucet handle.
few nuances
1. front/center motion detector. if you sink has a partition and center rim, the motion sensor usage in center will cause little water puddle on the rim. you can avoid that by installing the faucet at angle so the motion sensor is leaning more left side and faucet handle more towards front . i have seen pictures with others doing this. works great.
2. hard water corrosion. the bottom end of the handle has minor corrosion from water drips . my unit has 7+ years and corrosion is only visible from underside . have to really look closely to observe that is there
there is a reason they are selling these out. most likely phasing out for a newer version. but cant complain for half the price.

I am right at 5 years, have replaced the sprayer head under warranty twice, also had to improvise a shim to fix some looseness as it came from the factory. While the company was quick to replace the head both times with a phone call the last was as a courtesy and they said in the future it was a 29 dollar part.

I would pass and get a brand with a bit more quaity..
Also be careful using the button on the head that can stop the spray, that seems to be what caused the head issues

good for rental property, wouldn't use it in my own home. have hundreds of motion faucets at work, too much maintenance to keep them all working properly. stick with ceramic single handle faucet from moen/delta/kohler if you want troublefree life.

II bought one of these from Costco a few years ago when it was on clearance, and it worked great until Semper Fi Plumbing came out to service the water heater. The tech had to shut off all the water, and when he turned it back on, the faucet sensor stopped working. He tried to figure it out but couldn't, and said he'd have the company order a replacement sensor for under the sink and come back to fix it free of charge. After contacting them multiple times, I was always told the part was on order, but it never arrived, and the sensor was never fixed. Now I have to use the faucet manually. I'd recommend avoiding Semper Fi Plumbing—they advertise on Facebook and elsewhere. Anyway, I'll probably just buy this again and use the new sensor to replace the broken one.
