These were great at $99 per during Costco sale. But $90 refurbished via manufacture is not bad either. Just make sure the location you pick is able to get lots of sun. Picking up a few for my parents.

Great cameras. I have 4 of these around my house and they have been working great for more than a year now. The color night vision is really great!

You can use a separate solar panel if needed, I ran a ~20ft long run from solar panel to the camera and it charges it up just fine so far after over a year.

Do you have the home kit or whatever they call it to record and how does that work Can you access it from anywhere unfortunately my nest subscription renewed but I was seriously considering switching to these cameras

Weird no 24/7 recording? And is this HomeKit compatible? Eufy has gotten impossible to follow I wish they just put out a list of every camera that worked

This is a solar charged, battery powered camera so it cannot record 24/7. You'd need a camera connected to your home wiring to record 24/7.

There's a reason that there are so many refurbished Eufy S340 cameras. These are all returns not working as they should due to numerous problems with the app and Homebase. These S340 cameras with Homebase 3 are worthless without a fully tested working app. You will spend countless hours following their terrible support that will consume hours and days of your time. Stay away from Eufy. The auto updates are never thoroughly tested. Their tech fixit messages are canned and leave you running around in infinite circles until they realize that their own updated, untested apps are cuasing the problems.
Then they want you to jump through hoops to provide them with info on the problems caused by their ineptitude. You wind up being the unpaid app guinea pig. I am done with wasting my time and money. Back to Costco (thank goodness for Costco's return policy) go these S340 cameras. Eufy can eat their own crap!

No SD slot. It has 8GB of internal memory that gets overwritten once it is full. The Homebase 3 will support upto 16 TB drive. Good luck getting any of this to work considering how terrible the software engineers are and the app/firmware updates are at making the cameras useless.

Do you have other eufy's or is it just the 340's are crap?
I run the cheap Solo 220's? where I can't get a POE line and they capture motion well. Slow but effective.

U get 24/7 if u get the home base package,these just records it senses motion and follows the car or the person walking

If u get the homebase it records 24/7, but this one just records when it activates the motion sensor car driving by or person or pet. If u don't get a lot of sun the camera will die since these are power by solar panel,

Tapo actually has some that has 24/7. I have one and its interesting, it takes snapshots every minute stored locally and creates a timelapse video. When there's motion it switches to regular video recording. The Tapo version of this camera is like $80 everyday so I can't recommend Eufy products anymore...
