This RYOBI washer is tuned for auto detailing, with lower pressure and higher flow that make car washing faster and easier than general purpose units. The 40 foot flexible hose, stubby handle, and included foam blaster and detergent refill add convenience, and the extra flow stands out versus typical 1.2 GPM setups. It can handle light cleaning on vinyl siding, patio furniture, windows, and lawn equipment, but concrete needs a gas washer and a surface cleaner for serious buildup. It is a practical pick when car care is the priority and light home cleaning is secondary.

  • auto detailing and regular car washing because commenters say the lower PSI and higher GPM are intentional for cars, and they call it a "sweet spot" that's convenient and fast compared with other washers they own.

  • people who want to do light exterior cleaning like vinyl siding because commenters say it should work for vinyl siding and light cleaning, with one noting they'd use angle spray nozzles for lightly soiled concrete and siding (nothing that needs heavy removal).

  • buyers who also want quick cleanup jobs like patio furniture, umbrellas/cushions, window washing, or lawn equipment because commenters list those as additional use-case scenarios beyond cars.

  • military/veteran shoppers buying through the Exchange because one commenter says it can be purchased for $125 tax-free via the Exchange.

  • owners who are upgrading from a basic 1.2 GPM electric setup because commenters say the extra 0.6 GPM is meaningful and that the included 40 ft hose plus better handle/extension can save money versus buying aftermarket hose and accessories.

  • homeowners trying to deep-clean unsealed concrete because commenters warn it "will not work for concrete unless your concrete is sealed," and another says concrete cleaning can take all day without the right setup (like a gas washer and surface cleaner).

  • people planning to pressure wash windows or AC units without extra caution because commenters report a previous owner ruined thermopane window seals and an AC unit by pressure washing.

  • buyers who want to use it like a high-power gas washer for cars with long spray gaps because one commenter says gas washers can damage the pump and high pressure can damage paint if you don't have the setup right (they recommend electric for other tasks and gas for concrete/soffits).

I wish this was a thing when I built my car pressure washer setup. The extra .6gpm over the standard 1900psi/1.2gpm washers can't be understated.
You also get the 40' hose (which is decent), the better handle and the extension.
I had to spend $50 on the flexzilla hose, $20 on the HF handle, $10 on the extensions etc it all adds up.

I'm still upgrading the hose on mine to an Uberflex. The stock hose does restrict it some. I got mine for Christmas so it's still in the box until it stays above freezing.

I was wondering the same thing. Will use it for the car primarily, but would like to use it to clean lightly soiled concrete and siding, nothing crazy needing removed (like paint or deck stain) but still would prefer capacity to do home and auto cleaning tasks. Perhaps one of the three angle spray nozzles is better for home use?
Perfect for car, should work for vinyl siding and light cleaning. Will not work for concrete unless your concrete is sealed and needs a very light cleaning. There are no one answer solution. I have 2 gas pressure washers and they suck for cleaning cars. It damages the pump to run them long times in between spraying and the high pressure can damage paint if you don't have it setup correctly. You really need a gas pressure washer for concrete and cleaning soffits on the 2nd story. Electric pressure washer for everything else.

so pressure washing the driveway is out for this?
Correct. Use a gas for concrete and a surface cleaner or it will take all day.

#3 wondering this, specifically 2nd story windows..?
Be very careful with using any pressure washer (especially a high power gas one) on windows and AC units. The previous owner of my house pressure washed the outside and ruined all the windows. He broke all the thermopane windows' seals and the AC unit.

And it leaves lines if you don't use the surface cleaner. Looks messy and undone.
