This RYOBI washer is tuned for auto detailing, with lower pressure and higher flow that make car washing faster and easier than general purpose units. The 40 foot flexible hose, stubby handle, and included foam blaster and detergent refill add convenience, and the extra flow stands out versus typical 1.2 GPM setups. It can handle light cleaning on vinyl siding, patio furniture, windows, and lawn equipment, but concrete needs a gas washer and a surface cleaner for serious buildup. It is a practical pick when car care is the priority and light home cleaning is secondary.

Common Questions (4)

  • Yes. The lower PSI and higher GPM are intentional for auto detailing, giving a better balance for washing cars without the harsher pressure of general-purpose washers. The 1.8 GPM flow, stubby handle, and 40-foot flexible hose make it especially convenient and fast for car use.

  • It can handle vinyl siding and other light cleaning tasks, but it is not suited for concrete unless the surface is sealed and only needs a very light wash. It can also be used for patio furniture, umbrellas, cushions, window washing, and lawn equipment cleaning.

  • Yes. The included 40-foot hose is described as decent and more flexible than the stiffer hoses on many cheaper units, and the better handle and extension avoid extra aftermarket costs. The stock hose can still restrict flow somewhat, so some owners upgrade it to an Uberflex.

  • It is a solid price for this kit, but it has reportedly been $150 in August of the prior year, so the seasonal price increase is noticeable. One comment also asks whether the $169 version is the same model with only the soap refill difference.

kinda confused. its 1.8 GPM but only 1200 PSI.. in my eyes i feel like it uses more water for less pressure? not sure if thats a good thing. i figure if you have 1.8 GPM pressure would be higher closer to like 2000PSI.

It's for auto detailing. Lower psi and higher gpm is the point here. This is intentional.

What's the difference between this and the one for $169? Same exact model but includes the soap refill?

Looks to be. They are just offering this combo for the deal of the day, today only.

Greenworks automotive PW is also on sale at Lowe's for $10 more at Lowe's.

Hard to beat this for Auto washing. Sweet spot of GPM and pressure for a good a decent price. Advantage of this over similar price pressure washers used for general pressure washing:
stubby handle over the long handles that most cheaper washer come with
40ft decent flexible hose vs the stiffer hoses most cheaper ones come with
higher GPM lower pressure which is better for washing cars

I have this one and have been using it for car detailing. Love it!
I have several other pressure washers (1.2 gpm 1800 psi electric and 4.0 Gpm 4400psi gas). This is by far the most convenient and fastest to use for the cars.

PS. It's a good price, but these used to be $150 in August of last year, so they did jack up the price for this season.

I was wondering the same thing. Will use it for the car primarily, but would like to use it to clean lightly soiled concrete and siding, nothing crazy needing removed (like paint or deck stain) but still would prefer capacity to do home and auto cleaning tasks. Perhaps one of the three angle spray nozzles is better for home use?

Would this lightly clean a patio with pavers without removing the grout? I found the stronger washers remove the grout.
