These are rebranded SRNE models. They are deployed all over the world under different brand names and are generally considered as reliable. A minimum 2 can provide 240V (120 each in split phase). They use about 75W @idle each.

Anyone know what the AC-on/idle consumption is like on these?
(curious, because my Growatt 3000W is about 45W continuous, which is a pretty serious drain - which means if you want it running 24/7 you need over 1kWh/day just for keeping the inverter on)

Do this for 376. 6x of their 410 panels for 960 and a 16kw battery for 1650 gets you a lot more specs than competing all in one units (that dibt include solar panels or anywhere close to 16kw)

Anyone know what the situation is w/ solar inverters since the whole thing w/ Chinese inverters being sold w/ random cell radio chips installed and concerns over remote controlling them?

This says Hybrid, so should be able to hook up to the Grid. Now saying that, if you have an EV car, you can use this charge controller, 4000 watts of solar panels (400x10 panels) and a battery. So the hook up goes like this> Solar Panels> Charge Controller>Battery or to a 240V plug and charge the EV car directly. If you charge the battery during the day, then at night use the battery to charge your car. So easy to charge your EV car. Requires 2 cables from the solar to this charge controller, 2 cables to the battery. 2 more cables from the charge controller to the 240v plug for your Level 2 charger to your EV. That's how easy it is to make your own EV charger using solar at home. Now you have your own little power plant at your house.
Don't you need an EVSE that is capable of solar charging (e.g., wallbox)? From what I've read a battery might be required for a buffer, what are your thoughts on that?

You can just put a 240v outlet like for your dryer and plug in any EV Level 2 Charger into that and charge the car. So the ones that come with your car, you plug that in. This Inverter will handle the solar coming in and the 240v out to the outlet. Again, 2 cables to the outlet. Easy to wire up.

You can get the idea here. He is great in showing you how to set it up.

2 or even 4 at this price. Might make things difficult with the underwriters though!

I also dont know if this will do 120 and 240 simultaneously...
What do you mean simultaneously? In the US 240v split phase is 2x 120v feeds so if you need 120v you just tap one side and you have 120v if you need 240v you connect to both sides and you have 240v

About the single MPPT input, with the money you save you can get a 48V Victron MPPT for any additional strings. Victrons are better in pretty much every way to the built-in MPPTs in SRNE clones.
I assume you just add it in parallel to the built in MPPT ? I'm annoyed I bought this yesterday on ebay with the $110 discount. I don't know what the other post was about but Aliexpress i recall sells plenty of ecoworthy stuff...

The inverter is a rebrand, I have the 10k and its a SRNI the 5K is fine too but you need two of them for split phase and it becomes a bit more complicated to setup (this model might not even have parallel). The reason I chimed in is panels.

I would not recommend their panels at all, they are not noticeably cheaper than other options but they are noticeably less reliable.

$160 per 410w is not cheap these days I just got 430w Bifacial Type N Topcon Tier 1 panels for $129 each
16BB vs the 10 of the Eco panels, etc.

Its not even the cost savings that I am saying I would not recommend, its the performance and reliability.
I have bought and tested several panels from this brand and none of them are still connected, they have all been removed and replaced with something better.

A good panel will last you nearly 30+ years so spend a bit more if you have too to get a really good panel, as it will pay for itself in the long run.

Signature Solar, Ebay, etc
Target solar suppliers and pallet prices.

You can often find individual panels with a minimum but usually shipping kills those deals. I have managed to get free shipping on pallets.
The best deal I have found so far was 37 420w Type N Bifacial Panels with 25 year warranty on ebay for like $3600 but that was last year before the year end rush made everything harder to find.

Things are starting to stabilize again now though.

Where do I get 16kw battery for 1650? Cheapest I could find is around 4k (1300 each x3).

There are four ports on the Victron: Two for +/- from the solar and two for +/- to the battery. You connect the Victron to the same bus bars that are between your batteries and your inverter. YOU ARE USING BUS BARS AND HIGH-CAPACITY BREAKERS, RIGHT?

Ugh, you're right. I keep forgetting the Liber6K does and this does not. Thanks.

I don't have anything setup yet. But after thinking about it, it made sense that's its connected in parallel. To an MPPT it should just see it as the battery voltage is increasing even faster but it doesn't know any better as long as its within its programmed limits.
