Even though Game Key Card is worse than the game files being on the card, I think it's better than a digital purchase because you could buy it secondhand or sell it later. Game downloads on key cards are not single-use

Agree key cards suck but I still need a physical card to easily share with friends and family. Also e-shop cards can now be used for physical goods on Nintendos website (including this game) which is what I did

Card Key is hard pass. I can get $100 E-shop card for $80 at Costco and get the game on e-shop without taxes. I only support physical regardless Pokopia is good game.

I get charged taxes when I purchase through the eShop also. Maybe that varies by State.

Agree mostly that key cards suck, but for first party Nintendo, the resale value is always close to retail price. If you ever decide to sell, you'll get back 80% of what you originally paid for it. You can play it to your heart's content for a year and get most of that back in the aftermarket. Will this be the same for key cards? Probably.

LOl key cards sold out for this multiple places, what are you going to do instead, buy it digitally? It's funny no one does this when Sony or Xbox doesn't have the game fully on a CD. Wouldn't that be the same thing, basically a CD Key card, but the difference is they don't tell you it's not fully on the CD.

How often does that happen? Would also like to do this but have only been seeing 10% off on costco site

Realistically, unless the game is rare or hard to find, it's generally more like 50% off of retail.

I had a 10 Best Buy gift card and I bought it through them and also didn't get charged taxes.
